Action Zoo Humain aims to encourage dialogue on intercultural issues and to engage the audience. The company explores contemporary formats to reflect the reality of an intercultural society.
Action Zoo Humain (AZH)
- is an independent theatre company dedicated to artistic development and the production of performances. Our organisation explores the extent to which theatre can directly engage with reality without losing sight of its poetic potential and self-criticism. In this way, it enhances society’s capacity for play. In order to do this, we use the historical concept of the ‘zoo humain’ as a research tool to examine areas of ethnic, religious, political and economic conflict.
- operates as an organisation that prioritises diversity of voices and representation. The organisation thus acts as a bridge-builder between artists and academics, the artistic and socio-artistic sectors, emerging talent and experts, and between individual artists and cultural centres. This is based on our conviction that an (artistic) project is justified not only by its own substance, but also by the network within which it is realised.
