Jozefien Muylle
Dramaturg
Jozefien (1985) has years of experience in curating artistic programmes and supervising co-creative processes in dance, theatre and performance. She has followed major theatre productions, built close relationships with artists and participated in committees within structural arts policy. In doing so, she became skilled in offering dramaturgical and production advice to theatre makers. She has worked as a researcher for KASK, as a coordinator at MUS-E Belgium and as a programmer for theatre, dance, spoken word and circus for the cultural centre De Factorij. Her concern for artists and audiences, radical hospitality, artistic integrity and a renewed humanism make committed and generous theatre an obvious choice.
Her deep fascination with the sensory, cultural and essential aspects of tea has already led her, as a tea sommelier and performer, to various crossovers with the arts. Together with performance and sound artist Maja Jantar, she created the meditative installation “Ichigo Ichie” and, together with sitar player Visjal Auwerx, “lay down, come down”, a performance at the intersection of ritual and performance.
As of autumn 2025, we welcomed Jozefien to our AZH Team as a dramaturge.
